Jointly operated by four non-profit entities:

Our vision: Fostering a competitive and trustworthy AI ecosystem.
Our mission: To build a recognized label to facilitate the understanding of the level of trustworthiness of AI products and organizations and aid in making informed choices.
What is the AI Trust Label?
The AI Trust Label evaluates both the trustworthiness of AI systems, products, services, and an organization’s capacity to develop, deploy, or operate them.
Distinct from a CE Marking or conformity assessment for the EU AI Act, the label instead provides scores across its fundamental principles, allowing a clear understanding for all, and a means by which organizations can identify strengths and areas for improvement.
As a last step, a third-party assessment and certification based on the label’s specification can further emphasize a commitment and capacity for trustworthiness.
Why the AI Trust Label?
The AI Trust Label helps an organization:
- showcase their alignment with values essential to trustworthy AI practices,
- build trust with customers and employees,
- differentiate themselves from competition,
- identify trusted suppliers.
In short, it helps companies operationalize best practices in AI and anticipate regulatory trends.
A mature joint specification at the heart of our work
Trustworthy artificial intelligence is only possible within a clear, unified framework.
In response, we have developed a joint specification for the assessment of the trustworthiness of AI systems, uniting the strengths of IEEE CertifAIEd™, VDESPEC 90012, and the Positive AI framework with expertise from Confiance.ai.
The specification provides the basis for a robust process for AI assessment, including indicators, evidence, scoring and assessment procedures.
How to be part of the initiative?
Joining the AI Trust Alliance means joining a community that is dedicated to translating its experience and expertise into a concrete and practically useful label and certification program.
Membership in the Alliance is also an effective way to contribute to global best practice, as well as institutional standardization through the Alliance’s established link with IEEE, VDE, and contributions to CEN-CENELEC.
The AI Trust Alliance is open to any individual, firm or legal entity with a demonstrated interest in advancing trustworthy AI, and aims to foster a community of excellence dedicated to driving trustworthy AI forward. To accelerate this common aim, participation fees are waived for a limited time.
