The SystemX Technological Research Institute undertakes for the AI Trust Alliance (jointly operated by IEEE, Positive AI, IRT SystemX, VDE) to ensure that the collection and processing of personal data from its website complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés).

With the following information we inform you about the nature, scope and purposes of the collection and processing of personal data.

Personal data collection

Personal data may be collected by the AI Trust Alliance.
The following personal data may be collected:
• Last name
• First name
• Email address
• Organization

Purpose of the collection and processing of personal data

The AI Trust Alliance collects and processes personal data provided via forms exclusively for handling your query.

This data may be collected in the context of:
• Specification download
• Feedback on the specification provision
• Request to join the AI Trust Alliance

Legal basis
The collection of personal data is based on consent or voluntary submission.

The AI Trust Alliance process this data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. Accordingly, the processing of personal data is allowed as part of the controller’s “legitimate interest”, provided that your fundamental rights, fundamental freedoms or interests are not overriding. We have a legitimate interest in processing your inquiry. If contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, an additional legal basis for processing is Article 6 (1) b) GDPR. Under this legal basis, data processing is lawful if it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

The personal data saved as part of this contact are deleted once the matter associated with the contact has been resolved in full and it can also be presumed that this particular contact will not be relevant again in future.

Recipients of personal data

Unless otherwise stated, personal data collected from the AI Trust Alliance website is intended for the AI Trust Alliance (IEEE, Positive AI, IRT SystemX, VDE) use and is not intended to be shared with third parties except in cases provided for by laws and regulations.

Retention Period of Personal Data

The AI Trust Alliance stores the personal data using the procedures listed above only as long as needed for the intended purpose or as required by law. Collected personal data is retained for the following periods:
• After three years of inactivity, personal data is deleted in accordance with the right to be forgotten

Data processing outside the European Union

The AI Trust Alliance have limited our storage location to data centres in the European Union, therefore data processing is generally not performed outside the European Union (EU). However, we cannot technically completely rule out that data may be routed or stored on servers outside the European Union by the processor Microsoft.

Data Subject Rights

In accordance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions, including Law No. 78-17 of January 6 (as amended) and European Regulation No. 2016/679/EU of April 27, 2016 (effective since May 25, 2018), you have the following rights:
• To access your personal data
• To request the update of inaccurate data
• To request the portability or deletion of your data
• To request restriction of processing
• To object to processing on legitimate grounds
• To withdraw your consent at any time
